For todays lesson we were asked to bring a collection of different materials for model making. These materials were supposed to relate to our A2 drawing of sleep/wake.
Materials:
- Foam board
- Cardboard
- Wire
- Tracing Paper
- Butter paper
- Black card
- Polystyrene
- Translucent Plastic
Using these materials we were asked to come up with 4 hand sized conceptual models. We were the asked to place them on a vertical axis based on how Interior or Exterior they felt. (Below)
Next we were asked to create two more models. This time we had to arrange the models according to the categories of Light and Darkness. (Below is my outcome)
The final stage was to create another 2 more models. this time we were to rate them on both an X and Y axis. Y staying as Light and Darkness and X being Fluidity and Solidity. This provided a wide spectrum to place my models, this is shown below.
